To LaGuardia airport passengers had to cross the «lake» (video)

Flying a plane and so can be tedious and annoying, but yesterday, January 22, passengers at new York’s LaGuardia airport still had to overcome the «artificial lake». To pass it was difficult because it was located near the baggage claim area.

According to the inhabitant of new York, who wished to remain unknown, she returned to the Big Apple from Canada and noticed a «pond» around 10:30.

«At first everything was fine, but when I went to the baggage claim area, I saw a crowd of dozens of people. As it turned out, there was a huge puddle, which began somewhere under the escalators. To work around it to get to the bags, it was simply impossible», — said the girl.

She figured that the size of the «lake» was about 55 square meters, and the depth in some places reached 15 cm.

As eyewitnesses told, airport officials urged passengers to remain in place while workers LaGuardia pumping water, but determined travellers, obviously not wanting to stay at the airport longer than necessary, fearlessly «stormed» the lake.

The witnesses added that the staff quickly coped with the problem, but the rapid passengers are interfered with them.

As representatives of the Port Authority of new York and new Jersey, the cause of an artificial pond at the airport has become a broken hose sprinkler fire suppression system, which connects the new terminal with the old headquarters building.
