In Scotland found a message in a bottle, which was written by a teenager from the USA 20 years ago (photo)

Recently on a Scottish island, had discovered a message in a bottlethat was thrown into the sea off the coast of Maine 21 years ago. Over the years the bottle has done an extraordinary ocean journey of 3000 miles.

Matt Rhodes was 13 years old when he wrote a message in a bottle while vacationing with his family in Maine.

The boy then wrote: «Hello, my name is Matt Rhodes. Please email me the answer» — and he pointed to his then address in new Hampshire.

Rhoads, now 34-year-old musician living in Newburyport (Massachusetts) was contacted by Twitter a native of Scotland Mike Bolama, who found a letter Rhoads during a family trip to the Scottish island of North Uist.

«I didn’t at first, but I saw a photo of the letter, recognized his handwriting and realized this was it, — said the Rhodes channel WHDH. – I said, hell, I remember how it was done! When I was a teenager, I immediately forgot about this message, just wanted to do something «magical». Did not expect that the magic really happens.»

The man said: if he knew that the bottle with his message would come all this long way, and will find her 20 years later, that certainly would have written something more substantial.

Now, according to Matt Rhodes, he wants to fly to Scotland to meet the man who found his letter, and to see their children’s message.
