A native of Russia who lives in the United States for 20 years, claims to be the victim of a «racist» who has told her to «return to his country»

American tourist and blogger vacationing in Banff National Park in Alberta (Canada), claims to be the victim of a «racist» who has told her to «return to his country» and attempted to punt the phone.

Victoria, who refused to give his name, came to the States from Russia as a refugee 20 years ago. A woman living in new York, still speaks with an accent and I’m sure that he caused the stranger dissatisfaction.

According to Victoria, the conflict began to flare up, as she stood among those wishing to see the waterfalls in Johnston Canyon, and the man tried to jump the line. A tourist told him to get back to his place and they had an argument — however, in the end, the man just left.

Then when Victoria came down, she again noticed the man who had been talking about something with her friends and approached the group to say that he was very «rough». In response, says the woman, the stranger advised her to «return to his country».

I was just assaulted by a man who first told me to go back to my own country, at Banff National park. Please share. @BanffNP I reported it to the proper authorities and I hope something happens. But I think it would be good if it goes viral. These people don’t get to win. pic.twitter.com/FRe9xnq2tV

Video shot by Victoria begins when she asks: «You just told me to go back to their country, sir?»

«If you don’t want I threw away your phone, get out!» responds the man.

Victoria then repeats his question, and the satellites of the second tourist start to demand that she left.

«Can you just fuck off?», — asks the other woman.

Then the stranger, presumably trying to knock Victoria out of the hands of the phone and asks: «do You like this?».

«You cross a line that should not be crossed,» adds another tourist and company goes.

Victoria says that he recorded the conflict in the video because «a little afraid» that the man and his companions try to «do something».

«It all happened very quickly. she said in an interview with CTV News — He didn’t beat me, but tried to push and pick up the phone. <…> I decided that I would stand your ground».

Canadian police have found a man with whom Victoria had a skirmish, and is now investigating the incident. Authorities said they spoke to all the participants in the quarrel, which soon will publish a video with the official apology.

Victoria is disappointed with this outcome and believes that «the usual «sorry» in this situation is not enough. She also claims that since the publication of the video received dozens of threats from users who believe that the woman herself provoked the stranger.

Another woman who doesn’t understand one doesn’t «earn» an assault. I had as much right to be there as he did. I had every right to say what I said. I did not «poke the bear.» I was speaking to a human. Who can control his actions. https://t.co/8m265FPpZI

«No one deserves to be attacked. — she writes — I had just as much right to be where he was as he was. I had every right to say what he said. I did not provoke anyone. I spoke with a man capable of controlling their actions.»

«Words — just words. Push someone and try to destroy his property — is another matter».

Since the publication made by the Victoria video has already been seen more than 1.3 million people. Many users expressed support, but some reacted to the record with skepticism, pointing out that she captured the moment when a stranger allegedly tells a woman to return home.

There were those who felt that the Alliance itself was the initiator of the conflict, and her comment about manners opponent was unnecessary. Others write that the words of Victoria, whatever they may be, do not justify the behavior of men.
