Old «serial stowaway» again tried to get on the flight at the Chicago airport

The woman, known as the «serial stowaway», was arrested last Friday after attempting to bypass the security staff at Chicago’s international O’hare airport.

In the evening officers arrested a 67-year-old Marilyn Hartmanwho tried to sneak into the landing zone without documents. She was remanded in custody and awaits formal charges.

Earlier this year, Hartman was sentenced to 18 months probation after a similar incident when she boarded the plane to London without a boarding pass. After pleading guilty Hartman apologized to the airport for having «created the problem». She is no longer allowed to appear in airports in Chicago without a ticket.

In 2018, Hartman successfully got to London Heathrow airport, with no ticket, no passport. Only when the plane took off, airline staff realized that the woman was flying «hare».

British customs officials arrested Marilyn Hartman and sent her back to Chicago, where she was charged with, but the woman recognized the jurisdiction and at the time was transferred to a psychiatric hospital.

It is still unclear how in 2018 Marilyn Hartman managed to do this «trick» is, the investigation is still ongoing.

Before last year’s incident, the woman was already trying to get on other flights without documents.

«I spoke three or four times: I hope that more will never see you again. But I’m not sure. I think you’ll be back,» said Marilyn judge William Raines in 2016.
