A family of Hawaii lost $32 thousandthat they spent on a cruise to China, after the cancellation of the trip due to concerns about the coronavirus.

PUA Morrison from Maui told KHON2 that she and seven of her family members were paid $4,000 for a cruise from Norwegian Cruise Line, who must stop in Hong Kong.

According to Morrison, the trip was booked in February last year, long before the outbreak of a deadly coronavirusthat killed hundreds of people in China.

Morrison added that now they don’t want to risk traveling «in the direction» of the flash. Cruise operator refused to give the family a refund.

According to the woman, in Norwegian Cruise Line announced that she and her family have no right to compensation, and that their insurance while not covering the epidemic.
