The American Airlines pilot from North Texas have discovered coronavirus

American Airlines confirmed that the pilot, based at «Dallas-Fort worth», gave a positive result on COVID-19.

The airline did not provide any additional information about the pilot or any flight that he was piloting. They said HIPPA laws will not allow them to provide any details about the symptoms or condition of the pilot.

U.S. spokesman Curtis blessing said that the company contacted the Centers for control and prevention of diseases and other public health authorities to coordinate the necessary measures for the protection of health and safety.

The company says that the risk of transmission to passengers was low because the pilot’s job does not involve close interaction with customers. It is reported by FOX 4 NEWS.

According to USA TODAY, American Airlines has suspended service to all destinations in Europe including Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt, in early may or June, depending on the city that will reduce transatlantic capacity by 50% in April.

The airline began Thursday to cut the number of flights in response to stringent new restrictions on travel to Europe, introduced by the administration trump and entered into force on Friday.
