Currently, US citizens are allowed to visit more than 75 countries. If you can’t wait to leave the States and go on a trip, there are several countries in the world that will accept you-although with some restrictions.

There are not so many European states on the list now. However, the head of the European Commission said in an interview with the New York Times that the EU will probably start accepting vaccinated American travelers in the summer.

Albania

US citizens can enter this country without a negative test result for coronavirus. However, they will have to undergo a screening procedure at the airport, which may include sanitization and reduction of physical contact.

Anguilla

US citizens can enter Anguilla after receiving government approval and providing evidence of a negative result of a coronavirus test conducted three to five days before the trip. Starting on July 1, travelers who can prove that they have been fully vaccinated at least three weeks before arrival will be able to bypass payment and quarantine restrictions.

Antigua and Barbuda

Access to this Caribbean gem depends on a negative result of a coronavirus test made no more than seven days before arrival at the airport. American travelers will undergo a temperature and health check before entering, regardless of whether they arrive by plane, cruise ship or other means of transport.

Armenia

This country allows US citizens to enter if they present a negative test for coronavirus, made no more than 72 hours before arrival — or if they agree to take a test for $40 on arrival and stay in quarantine until they receive negative results.

Aruba

Aruba accepts tourists from the United States. However, it is necessary to pass a health assessment, as well as have a negative test for coronavirus made no more than 72 hours before arrival.

The Bahamas

The popular tourist destination requires travelers to fill out an application for a tourist medical visa and provide a negative test for COVID-19, passed no more than five days before arrival. Visitors must also have health insurance covering the costs for the entire period of their stay. Those who are fully vaccinated are exempt from the testing requirements. Anyone who plans to stay on the island for more than five days must pass an express antigen test on the fifth day.

Bahrain

US citizens can travel to Bahrain without proof of a negative test result for coronavirus. However, they will have to pay about $95 for three tests for COVID-19: a test on arrival, a second test on the fifth day and a third on the tenth day (if applicable). Visitors should self-isolate until they receive negative results from their first test.

Any fully vaccinated travelers arriving in Bahrain can bypass the quarantine requirements, but must be tested on the first and 10th days of their trip. Travelers also need to download the BeAware Bahrain app before traveling.

Bangladesh

If US citizens pass the COVID-19 test within 72 hours after traveling to Bangladesh and confirm the negative results with the appropriate documents, they can enter the country. However, a negative test result does not mean that travelers are exempt from the 14-day quarantine period upon arrival.

Barbados

If travelers (over 5 years old) fill out an online form for a flight at least 24 hours before departure and provide a negative coronavirus test result made within 72 hours after their entry to the island, they can relax in this Caribbean paradise. Even if there is a negative result, travelers must be quarantined at the hotel or villa for at least five days, after which they can pass one more test. Fully vaccinated travelers will still have to take a test before traveling, but they can move around the island after receiving a second negative test result on arrival.

Belarus

US citizens can enter Belarus with some restrictions. Travelers need a negative test for coronavirus before arrival, although the embassy does not specify the timing of the test. Travelers will also undergo a medical examination, including a temperature check. A 10-day quarantine is also required.

Belize

American travelers (5 years and older) will have to present a negative test for coronavirus, made no more than 96 hours before departure to Belize. (Rapid antigen tests made no later than 48 hours before arrival are also accepted.) If you do not provide a negative result, you will have to pay a fee of $50 in cash and take the test on arrival. Visitors from the United States must also fill out medical forms in the Belize Health app to get into the country.

Bermuda

This resort will accept Americans on its cleanest beaches if travelers (10 years and older) provide negative results of a COVID-19 test conducted no more than five days before arrival. After June 6, tests should be taken no more than four days before arrival. Travelers will be checked again upon arrival and quarantined until negative results are received (this usually takes 24 hours).

After receiving a negative result, you can move around your hotel or resort. Additional testing will be conducted on the fourth, eighth and fourteenth days of your trip. During the first 14 days of their stay, visitors must wear a travel bracelet; those who remove the bracelet will face a fine.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

The US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina says that the country is open to American visitors if they can show a negative test for COVID-19, made no more than 48 hours before entry.

Brazil

The US government advises not to travel to Brazil due to the growing number of cases of coronavirus and crime in the country, but Americans are allowed to enter. Travelers from the United States (over 12 years old) will need to show proof of a negative test result passed no more than 72 hours before boarding the plane.

British Virgin Islands

These picturesque islands are open to the public. Americans planning a trip must present proof of a negative test result taken no more than five days before arrival. In addition to the entrance fee of $175, you also need to fill out an online certificate of travel authorization.

Visitors will be retested upon arrival and will be quarantined. Then they must pass the third test on the fourth day of their stay on the island, the results of which will determine whether they will be able to travel around the islands.

Bulgaria

Americans can travel to Bulgaria if they present proof of full vaccination or provide negative results of a coronavirus test made no more than 72 hours before the trip (or 48 hours before passing an antigen test).

Cape Verde

Travelers from the United States can visit Cape Verde, provided that they provide proof of a negative test result (PCR or antigen) conducted no more than 72 hours before the trip. There are no quarantine requirements on arrival.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica no longer requires visitors to take a negative COVID-19 test taken less than 72 hours before their visit. However, visitors must purchase or present proof of health insurance to cover any possible costs associated with the coronavirus, as well as fill out medical passport forms, according to the website of the US Embassy in Costa Rica. The Government of Costa Rica also has the right to reduce the length of stay of tourists.

Ivory Coast

If American travelers have a completed declaration form and a confirmation of a negative test result for coronavirus made no more than five days before the trip, they will be allowed to enter.

Croatia

Americans are again allowed to visit Croatia with some restrictions. You must present proof of a negative coronavirus test result submitted no more than 48 hours before arrival, or take a test on arrival and remain in quarantine pending the results. If you are fully vaccinated, you can provide proof of vaccination instead of a test. Or, if you can prove that you have been cured of the coronavirus within the last 11-180 days, you will not need to provide the test results.

Cyprus

Individuals can travel from the United States to Cyprus, provided that they provide proof of a negative test result taken within 72 hours before the flight, and pass one more test on arrival at their own expense.

Dominika

Americans are allowed to visit Dominica if they fill out a health questionnaire and provide proof of a negative test result for COVID-19, passed no more than 72 hours before arrival.

Upon arrival, travelers from the United States must take an express test, according to the US Embassy in Dominica. Travelers with a positive test result or fever must also take a PCR test and be quarantined in a mandatory state institution or hotel (at their own expense) until the results are received. If the PCR test is positive, travelers should remain in quarantine until they are released by authorized health officials.

Dominican Republic

American travelers are allowed to visit this island state with few restrictions. Although the country does not require a negative coronavirus test before visiting, travelers will be randomly selected for coronavirus tests upon arrival at the point of entry. Health check procedures are provided, such as temperature measurement.

Travelers must also declare that they have not experienced any COVID-related symptoms in the last 72 hours and provide contact information for the next 30 days in the form of a health affidavit.

Egypt

If you are visiting Egypt, you will need to present physical proof of a negative test result for COVID-19, made, ideally, no more than 72 hours before arrival. There is no mandatory quarantine for American travelers, but there may be some restrictions on travel within the country.

Georgia

Unvaccinated visitors must provide confirmation of a negative test result passed no more than 72 hours before arrival, pass a control PCR test on the third day (at their own expense) and send a form with contact information.

Italy

Italy is open again for Americans to travel. To enter, visitors must fill out a declaration form and present a negative (molecular or antigen) test for coronavirus, made no more than 72 hours before arrival. They are then required to self-isolate for 10 days before taking one more test.

Jamaica

A traveler to Jamaica from the United States will have to provide proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 in an accredited medical laboratory (this can be a PCR test, a nucleic acid amplification test, an RNA or molecular test, or an antigen test) no later than 72 hours before arrival.

Jordan

If travelers from the United States provide proof of a negative test result for coronavirus, made no more than 72 hours before arrival, and pass a second test on arrival at their own expense, they can enter Jordan.

Kyrgyzstan

Visitors to Kyrgyzstan must provide confirmation of a negative test result made no more than 72 hours before arrival. Medical examinations are also carried out at airports.

Lebanon

Montenegro

Northern Macedonia

Seychelles

This group of islands off the coast of Africa has opened its doors to all travelers who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (provided that at least two weeks have passed since taking the second dose). South Korea

Travelers from the United States are allowed to visit South Korea, provided that they show proof of a negative result of a coronavirus test conducted within 72 hours after the trip. Even with a negative test result, visitors must also comply with the required 14-day quarantine period upon arrival. Travelers should also answer daily health questions through a mobile app to help the government track the spread of diseases.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is open to American citizens, provided that they show proof of a negative result of a coronavirus test made no more than 72 hours before arrival. Medical examinations will take place at the airport, and a curfew is in effect in different regions of the country. In addition, anyone who has not been vaccinated must stay at a certified approved hotel for up to 13 nights (14 days) of their stay.

Thailand

Americans can enter Thailand provided that they have proof of a negative test result for coronavirus, issued no more than 72 hours before departure. Medical examinations are carried out upon arrival. Visitors must also be quarantined for 14 days after arrival, regardless of their vaccination status.

Tunisia

This North African country is open to American visitors. Americans must present proof of a negative test result for coronavirus, submitted no more than 72 hours before arrival. In addition, visitors will have to undergo a 48-hour quarantine. Vaccinated travelers are released from quarantine.

Turkey

Ukraine

United Arab Emirates

US Virgin Islands

Americans can visit this US territory in the Caribbean by presenting proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 received within five days after the trip and providing a certificate of travel authorization from the USVI traveler verification portal. The tests are mandatory for all travelers from 5 years and older. Upon arrival, all visitors to the US Virgin Islands will have their temperature measured, and they will need to fill out a questionnaire to check travelers.

Uzbekistan
