Palouse Falls

The waterfall looks especially beautiful in spring, when the landscape around turns green.
National Recreation Area "Oregon Dunes"
"Oregon Dunes" are part of the Suislav National Forest and the largest concentration of coastal dunes in all of North America. They were formed over 100 thousand years ago as a result of the interaction of water and wind. The grains of sand flowed down the Suislav River, and their deposits were slowly but surely deposited, turning into surreal sand dunes. It was this national park in Oregon that inspired Frank Herbert to write the book series "Dune" and their subsequent film adaptation.
Yosemite National Park This park in California is especially attractive for lovers of waterfalls. There are quite a lot of them on the territory of 485 hectares, but the most unusual among them is Horsetail Fall, flowing in two streams, the height of which is 470 and 478 meters. In February, the water turns into a fiery color and it seems as if this flame is escaping from the mountains. You can watch this amazing visual phenomenon from winter to spring.
California Poppy Reserve The hills in the Antelope Valley in California are covered with millions of golden yellow and bright orange poppies during the flowering season. Usually flowers bloom at the end of February, but this magical event cannot be guaranteed due to external circumstances. Flowering requires certain conditions, which are far from every year.
Redwood National Park It is home to the tallest trees in the world and home to almost half of the oldest sequoias on the planet. The height of some of them reaches 112 meters. For comparison, this is 5 floors higher than the Statue of Liberty. Visiting the redwood forests is somewhat similar to the world from "Alice in Wonderland": next to the giant trees, people feel very, very small.
Craters of the Moon >In Idaho National Park, you can feel what Neil Armstrong saw when he landed on the moon. The area is known for its rugged landscapes and volcanic features. Frozen lava flows and cinder cones fascinate with their beauty. And with the advent of winter, when "lunar craters" covered with snow, the territory of the monument becomes like an otherworldly space.
Fly Geyser
There is a really strange place in Nevada that is worth seeing. We are talking about the Fly Geyser — one of the most remarkable surprises of the state. It throws out hot water to a height of up to 1.5 meters, and itself shimmers from red and yellow to green. The color of the geyser is due to deposits of calcium carbonate, which only increase every year. Fly consists of 3 large mounds 1.8 meters high and was formed in 1964 after a geothermal company drilled a test well in the ground.

Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is an amazing place. His landscape has long sunk into the soul of travelers. One of the hallmarks of Yellowstone is the Midway Geyser Pool with thermal springs. The Grand Prismatic is one of them. It is filled with hot water and is amazingly brightly colored by bacteria and living organisms.
Bonneville Salt Flats
In Utah, in the middle of the desert, the Bonneville salt flats are located, and everyone who has seen them will agree that this place is a unique natural monument. They were formed as a result of the drying of the lake, and the space of sodium chloride remaining after it resembles an alien landscape. The dazzling white color is similar to snow and creates an unsettling yet beautiful illusion. The Bonneville Salt Flats are filmed and used as racing tracks. This place should be visited at least once by every person on earth.
Maroon Bells 300 million years of geological activity contributed to this miracle in Colorado, including erosion by wind, water, and ice, as well as weathering and sedimentation. Maroon Bells is visited by 300 thousand people every year and they all come with a camera in their hands to capture the beauty of this place. It is the most photographed in the state. But not a single picture will convey all the charm of nature, which is better to see with your own eyes.
