Stamford Museum and Nature Center
The museum and nature center is nestled in the woods of North Stamford. The museum combines art, history, nature and agricultural sciences. Philip Johnson's Glass House 
Philip Johnson designed the glass house in 1949. This unique building was originally designed as Johnson's weekend getaway. He used this house for over 60 years, until his death. There are other unique and interesting structures on the grounds of the glass house, including the brick house that Johnson used to host guests.
Fort Stamford Park
Stamford has many great parks that are perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Fort Stamford Park sits on the foundations of an old Revolutionary War fort. Bartlett Arboretum and Garden

Mianus River Park 
This river park is located on the border between Stamford and Greenwich. This park is ideal for hiking, jogging, mountain biking and fishing. You can even go cross-country skiing on numerous trails when it snows. Mianus River Park is full of chipmunks, birds and squirrels.
Stamford Observatory
On the grounds of the Stamford Museum and Nature Center you will find the Stamford Observatory. The dome of the observatory houses an impressive telescope, which is used for research purposes. The observatory holds public viewings from 20:00 to 22:00 on Fridays.
Presbyterian Church
This is one of the most breathtaking churches in New England. This church was designed by Wallace Harrison, the same man who was involved in the construction of Rockefeller Center. Inside the church are huge stained glass windows made up of 20,000 pieces of glass.
The Ferguson Library 
The Ferguson Library is the iconic emblem of Stamford. This Georgian Revival building was built in 1910. Every Friday night, the Ferguson Library hosts a film screening for children. There are also exhibitions, workshops and activities for children to take part in.

Bedford Street is one of Stamford's main streets. Here you will find many shops and restaurants, as well as a lot of entertainment. Bedford Street hosts several festivals, street fairs and other entertainment throughout the year.
