This year, the season of Pacific stormsis likely to descend upon US a little earlier than usual. Strong storms will begin its «bombing» of British Columbia and the North-Western part of the United States for the second half of October.
The storms that brought rain and snow to the region this week will probably seem really insignificant compared to what lies ahead. At the beginning of next week after a calm, but cold weekend, a storm will bring heavy rains, intense mountain snow and powerful winds.

The bulk of the storms focus on the area from southern British Columbia to Washington.
Some heavy rain, mountain snow and gusty winds may reach parts of Northern California next week. Closer to the environment of one of the storms could move far enough South to pour rains devastated forest fire site near San Francisco and Santa Rosa.
In the second half of October, heavy rains, snow and wind will likely go inland to the Northern Rocky mountains USA. As with all strong storms, excess precipitation can lead to flash floods.
The ski season will likely start earlier than usual, but due to gusty winds, the risk of avalanches will increase.
