Friday night cold cyclone caused a temperature decrease to -3 in Central Park. This figure broke the record, which was held for 103 years − -2°C.
The temperature on Saturday morning again broke all records. Central Park recorded a drop to -4 °C. Recall that it is lower than the record temperature of 1933 (-2°C).
According to the National weather service, in Newark, Bridgeport and LaGuardia airport, the temperature ranged from -5 to -3 °C, which is less than it was in 1956.
