Powerful this season, the storm covers Los Angeles

The first spring storm that hit southern California with the sea, will flood the County of Los Angeles, Ventura and neighboring regions. Heavy rainfall has already covered the coastal part of the state, and by the evening the situation will worsen.

According to forecasts of Weather services (National Weather Service), in the region falls from 25 to 200 mm of rain: the maximum amount of moisture expected in the lowlands and foothills.

Already, about 12 mm of rain falls per hour — forecasters warn of the likelihood of flash floods in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Ventura. At particular risk are the regions that burnt during the recent fires, in particular in the area of canyon La tuna (Los Angeles), North Fork, La Conchita Casitas springs (Ventura), where the local authorities issued an order on compulsory evacuation of inhabitants.

According to Accuweather forecasts, heavy rain will subside on Friday. Relatively dry weather in the next two days will be held only in orange County and Inland Empire.
