Weather forecast for memorial Day: rain, heat and thunderstorms

Traditionally, millions of Americans go somewhere outside the city (and even in other States) in a weekend on memorial Day.

In the TOP 10 places for travellers to this day, according to polls, include Orlando (FL), Seattle (WA) Honolulu (hi) Las Vegas (Nevada), anchorage (Alaska), Phoenix (AZ), Anaheim (CA), Boston (mA), Denver (Colorado) and new York.

That’s only in some States, the weather is clearly not to contribute to the picnic. So, in most parts of the East coast are expected showers and thunderstorms.

First of all, meteorologists are closely watching the Gulf of Mexico, where there still exists the possibility of formation of a tropical system. «Even if this does not happen, the South-East USA will cover the downpours over the Bank holiday weekend,» said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Paul of Pustelak. In some areas there may be flooding.

Festive weekend for Washington (D.C.) Philadelphia, new York and Boston will begin with good weather, but on Sunday, may 27, and Monday, may 28th, a strong precipitation may fall on the Atlantic coast, particularly in southern New England.

In the Midwest rain and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday, may 26, but in the second half of the holiday weekend in Michigan, Missouri and Illinois will be dominated by dry and Sunny weather.

In the Northwest (Washington, Oregon) of the United States lower the humidity will be conducive to good weather on the weekend, thunderstorms and rain are predicted only in the Rocky mountains in Colorado.

But in Nevada, Arizona and El Paso (TX) will reign real heat. All lovers of barbecues and country picnics are recommended to be especially careful with fire, because in the region there is an increased level of fire risk.

A little more cool due to Pacific air, but also rain, will be in Los Angeles and San Francisco (CA).
