Thousands of residents of the States of new York and new Jersey remained without electricity because of the storm

Due to heavy rains and thunderstorms in the States of new York and new Jersey and on long island, thousands of local residents were left without electricity.

Hardest hit were new Jersey, where light has lost about 10,000 customers of the power company JCP&L, and more than 1,300 customers PSE&G (in long island suffered 357 residents who use their services). Also, in new York city and Westchester County remained without electricity nearly 500 customers of Con Edison. About the blackouts also reported about 700 people in the districts of orange and Rockland.

The strongest rains occurred in the night. At the moment still ongoing restoration work. Residents are strongly advised to stay away from damaged power lines.
