The Kilauea volcano is approaching hurricane «Hector»: the danger of Hawaii the meeting

Originating in the Pacific ocean, 2 760 km East of the Big island by Friday evening, a small storm «Hector» has become a «powerful hurricane» 3rd category — with the strength of the wind within 195 km/h, according to the national hurricane center (National Hurricane Center). Now Hector is 2 245 km East of Hilo and continues to move West.

It is expected that by 11 PM August 8 (local time), the hurricane is coming to the Big island, but its force will be felt on the other Islands of the state. According to the expert on hurricanes Howard Bernstein, the disaster will not be direct, «but big waves and rain in this wind definitely pose a threat.»

Scientists disagree about how they affect each other hurricanes and volcanoes, in particular whether the low atmospheric pressure, to provoke a new eruption of lava. Also, the authorities issued a press release in which it reminded the Hawaiians the order of actions during a RAID of the disaster, after this season, «Hector» for the state — the first hurricane.
