USCIS has introduced specialized services to foreigners, victims of wildfires in California

Foreigners affected by forest fires in California can enjoy special services of citizenship and immigration USA (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services — USCIS).

Their list was published yesterday, August 15, on the official USCIS website:

  • Exemption from liability for delays in filing applications for extension or change of nonimmigrant status, if the delay is due to extraordinary circumstances, which are fires in California.
  • Getting the right to enter the United States in this case is the entry permit granted for reasons of humanity to persons not legally entitled to cross the U.S. border.
  • If necessary, expedited review of applications for issuance of work permits.
  • Expedited processing of the preliminary requests the right to enter the United States in this case.
  • Expedited replacement of lost or damaged immigration or travel documents issued by USCIS, such as a green card.
  • Expedited review of requests for issuance of work permits for students with F-1 visa is experiencing serious financial difficulties.
  • Transfer scheduled interviews or other meetings in representation of the USCIS to individuals who are unable to vote because of the fires.
  • The timing of payment for services USCIS for individuals who were unable to make it due to fires.
  • The extension of the period during which you can meet the person who received the request for evidence (Request for Evidence) or notice of intent to deny (Notice of Intent to Deny).
  • The appointment of a new time to obtain biometric data.
