Hurricane «lane», the 5th category is coming to Hawaii

August 21 night of the hurricane «lane» has increased up to 5-th category, and is now approaching the Hawaiian Islands.

Will the «eye» of the hurricane directly over land is still not clear, according to the National hurricane center (National Hurricane Center, NHC), however, the Islands still have to go through very harsh weather. But the 50th state has barely recovered from the powerful three-month eruption of Kilauea volcano.

Dangerously close to the Islands center of the storm presumably will be held from 23 to 25 August.

«A direct strike «lane» to Hawaii would be the worst scenario,» — said a meteorologist at the NHC, Thomas Birchard.

As of 23.30 on August 21 «Layne» was about 350 miles (565 km) South-East of the town of Kailua-Kona. The maximum wind speed in the center of the hurricane reached 160 miles (260 km) per hour.

Today Hawaiians warned of thunderstorms, strong winds, the danger of floods and landslides. At particular risk is the largest island, and the Islands of Maui, Lanai and Molokai.

Hawaii authorities have warned residents of the state at any moment can be evacuated.
