More than 5.4 million people live in areas threatened by hurricane «Florence»

The threat of hurricane «Florence», is rapidly approaching the southeastern coast of the United States, hung over 5.4 million inhabitants of the coast of North Carolina and South Carolina.

Someone decided to wait out the storm at home, but many chose to evacuate. The roads are streams of cars. To evacuate the most vulnerable coastal areas, and urged the Governor of North Carolina Roy Cooper.

«Waves, floods and wind that bring the storm, is something you have never experienced,» said Cooper.

President Donald trump has declared a state of emergency for North Carolina and South Carolina, and Virginia. Due to this, States can receive Federal aid.

Airlines are canceling flights EN masse. So, Charleston international airport in South Carolina announced that it plans to close the runway by midnight on Wednesday, September 12.

In South and North Carolina emptied store shelves. «There’s no water. No juices. No canned,» says Christine Harrington of Wilmington.

As of 8 a.m. September 12, the center «Florence» was 530 miles (855 km) South-East of Cape fear (North Carolina). A hurricane moving towards the coast with a speed of 17 miles (28 km) per hour, and the wind speed runs up to 130 miles (215 km) per hour. According to recent forecasts, «Nightingale» will come ashore by the morning of Friday, September 14, and the speed of its winds reaches almost a hurricane of the 5th category.
