«Florence,» RAID on the United States in the night of Friday and will rage on the coast until Saturday

The hurricane monster «Nightingale» will be released on the coast of North Carolina and South Carolina in the night from Thursday to Friday. Forecasters warn that it could cause catastrophic flooding, threaten millions of lives and cause damage in tens of billions of dollars.

According to the National hurricane center of the USA (National Hurricane Center), «Florence,» «landed» on the coast between Wilmington and Morehead city (NC).

As predicted by meteorologists AccuWeather, «Florence» will stay on the coast for a few days. It is likely that a hurricane will reach land on Thursday night, September 13, and the inland will move to Saturday, September 15. Areas its influence should be prepared for heavy rains, strong winds, landslides and storm surges.

The hurricane will pass perpendicular to the coast, and not at an angle, so the damage from his RAID could reach $30 billion, said the founder and President of AccuWeather’s Joel Myers.

«The greatest damage from hurricanes is usually associated with flooding on land, says Dr. Myers. — The second costly consequence of a hurricane exists along the coast when the raging waters of the ocean influenced by winds rolled on shore and having a powerful surge (the system of waves, which are created in the open ocean the wind is blowing with constant speed and direction. — USA.one), especially when a hurricane moving perpendicular to the coast.»

Watch out, America! #HurricaneFlorence is so enormous, we could only capture her with a super wide-angle lens from the @Space_Station, 400 km directly above the eye. Get prepared on the East Coast, this is a no-kidding nightmare coming for you. #Horizons pic.twitter.com/ovZozsncfh

Heavy rains will go until Sunday. By the evening of 16 September, «Florence,» may weaken to the 3rd category (with the wind speed of 160-185 km/h).

According to meteorologists, «Florence» can change the shape of the coastline in certain parts of Carolina, for example, to destroy some Islands and create new inlets. And dangerously high waves will proceed as to the North — to New England and Bermuda, and South to East-Central coast of Florida and the coast of the Bahamas.
