In the United States 28 units are formed of the most professional police and fire service. These groups are designed to respond to emergency situations and to strengthen the position of FEMA in the regions torn by natural disasters. Their work depend the lives of many people.

Rescuers from new York, went to North Carolina in two echelons. First went a large group of 83 people. After 2 day they arrived, the remaining 18 members of the squad. With them they had special equipment and all the necessary tools.

Some days the team rescued 127 people and 61 animal, evacuating them from the flooded areas. Some victims were literally on the brink. For example, a young person had 6 hours to sit in a tree waiting for help. In another case, people were removed from flooded cars and houses.

The return of the heroes has become a day of great joy for their colleagues and relatives. The squad was warmly welcomed by the people of new York, who came to thank the rescuers.
