Authorities issued an official tsunami warning for coastal areas of southern Alaska after a powerful earthquake.
According to the U.S. Geological survey, approximately 7.5 km to the North from anchorage, it was registered an earthquake of magnitude 6.7. No casualties are reported.

According to some, the power of an earthquake reached a 7.2 score.
