Wind, frost and water from lake Ontario bound home in upstate new York with ice crust (photo)

Winter gave a farewell surprise to the inhabitants of the Northern part of new York — and not a pleasant surprise. Due to severe weather home on the shores of Ontario in a literal sense are freezing.

Strong winds raised on the lake huge waves that, breaking on the shore, covered the coastal houses a myriad of spray. Then the business made a cold — and the house was iced up.

A photograph of one such beach house shared this week on Facebook 57-year-old Bertha Smith.

So this is my friends summer home at Ramona Beach in Pulaski NY on Lake Ontario. Camp is under 4 feet of ice. My heart…

«This is the summer house of my friend in Ramona Beach Road in Pulaski (NY), on lake Ontario, — the woman writes. — It is covered with a layer of ice. The water level in the lake is frightening. More than 50 years of his life the first time I see such. We used to live there all year round, and never was.»

The roof of the house is now just a few feet from the ice surface. Home owners fear that when the ice melts, the house simply collapses.

«Suffered not only at home. I walked a bit along the shore, where it was possible. Water, wind and frost formed along the entire beach, huge ice hills. They are up to 4 meters! I can only imagine what would happen if the ice rapidly begin to melt» — terrified of Bert Smith.

A similar phenomenon was observed in the Western part of the state in 2017 and also on lake Ontario.

And in the winter of 2016, the same fate befell the car parked near lake Erie in Buffalo: it was completely frozen with ice.
