For many years California is suffering from large-scale disasters, in particular fires.

Each time the damage from violence of elements increases and the number of victims is growing. In 2018 the forest fires killed more than 100 people and damages in the tens of billions of dollars. Worse still, experts suggest further deterioration of the situation, despite the attempts of state authorities to prevent the growing threat.

Due to these conditions, residents of the state should be expected in the spring of rapid growth of greenery, which is closer by the summer will turn into a great source of fuel for future fires. Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Friday, March 22, the emergency situation in California. The politician has already ordered to send additional forces on the felling of trees that died as a result of large-scale drought 2017. The state government hope that this will help to some extent to protect California from the rapid spread of forest fires.

One of the main hopes of «fire» of the region is cool and wet spring. This would reduce the dry season and significantly increase the chances of avoiding major disasters. Unfortunately, now meteorologists predict the coming of the hot weather, beginning the first of may. In addition summer temperatures will also average rate, contributing to the negative processes.

All this suggests that in 2019, California is waiting for the next confrontation with much fire. The situation is also aggravated by the deplorable state of the grid that pass through woodland. The state government assured that last year the majority of fires have arisen because of accidents on power lines.

Now energy companies are required urgently to clear the area near the transmission towers and transformers. In addition, in the coming years these companies will be conducting the replacement of the fire communications mounting special fire-resistant cables.

And while California authorities are trying to minimize the risk of a disaster, the residents of the region prepare for a new phase of confrontations.
