To the South of the USA swept numerous tornadoes destroyed houses, there are victims (photos)

Monday, December 16, more than two dozen tornadoes swept across southern States, killing at least three people.

According to the National weather service, a tornado was reported in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.

In the County of Vernon (Louisiana) during a storm, killing 59-year-old Betty Patin. As reported in the Sheriff’s office, Patin was in his mobile home, which was destroyed by a tornado. The district is also damaged several churches.

In the County of Lawrence (Alabama) died a couple. Their bodies were found near their home, lying next to a wounded 7-year-old boy was taken to the hospital. Officials have not said whether the child is a son or other relative of the dead spouse.

«When rescuers and police arrived at the scene, the road was completely blocked by trees and debris. It was chaos,» — said eyewitnesses.

A few people in Alabama suffered during bad weather. On the severity of their injuries not yet reported.
A large tornado was sighted near the international airport of Alexandria in Louisiana. Fortunately, nobody was injured, but flights have been canceled.

In Hantone (Mississippi), a tornado damaged about 60 homes and a Church. Fatalities and serious injuries in the city.

«Yes, there is destruction, but still alive, so we are blessed tonight,» said mayor Guntown bad herring.

According to the mayor of herring, the city authorities established a temporary curfew due to damaged power lines and fears about gas leaks.
