NASA says a fireball flew over Vermont

According to scientists from NASA, on Sunday evening, a fireball could be seen flying in the sky over Vermont.

The fireball first appeared at 17:40 more than 50 miles above the Mount Mansfield Forest. According to NASA, the bright meteor was moving at a speed of more than 42 thousand miles per hour.

«The space object was strongly fragmented, creating a pressure wave that shook buildings and made a sound that was heard by those who were near the trajectory of the meteor. — the group wrote on the social network. — Such a pressure wave can also cause minor tremors that will be detected by seismic instruments in the area.»

Several Vermont residents called local newsrooms to report how they saw or felt the meteor after it flew overhead.
