As storm Elsa approaches Florida -Keys, a tropical storm warning has been issued for parts of central Florida. Specifically, it operates in Sumter County and parts of Marion County.
Forecasters said the center of the tropical storm was located 50 miles southwest of Key West at 5 a.m. Tuesday. Elsa was moving north and northwest at about 12 mph with maximum winds of 60 mph.
Elsa is predicted to pass Tuesday morning near the Florida Keys.
The storm is then expected to pass near or over parts of Florida's west coast on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The National Hurricane Center also reports that several tornadoes are possible in parts of Florida on Tuesday and continue until Wednesday.

The Florida Keys and the southwestern and western parts of the Florida peninsula will see 3 to 5 inches of rain, which could rise to 8 inches tomorrow, according to forecasters.
No precipitation in the rest of Florida must exceed 6 inches.
