More than 1,500 people were injured due to firecrackers in Turin, Italy

More than 1500 people were injured in the Italian city of Turin in the night of Sunday. Fans (several thousand) gathered in the square of San Carlo to watch at a specially installed giant monitors play in the Champions League final, the football teams Juventus and real Madrid.

Shortly before the end of the second half of the game in the crowd heard several loud explosions. According to preliminary data, explosions were the sound of exploding firecrackers, but this information is Turin authorities have not yet confirmed definitively.

The crowd started to panic, people tried to flee from the area, apprehended the explosions really. A barrier running the fans was the police barriers set up around the square. Many were simply pressed against that metal fence and devoid of ability to move. Many people have suffered when the barriers were still broken down. Among the seriously injured were children.
