Italian media reported that the age of the victims, whose bodies are now in a special freezer, varies from 14 to 18 years. Perhaps before the girls were thrown out into the open sea, they used violence, including sexual.

The body was found by the crew of a military vessel, which under several rescue operations have found 375 illegal migrants, among whom were pregnant women and children. Most of them were sent to Europe from Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Gambia, Sudan and Libya.
