The Deputy of the state Duma noted that these are available throughout Russia fast food restaurants as McDonald’s, contribute to the reduction of the consumption of national dishes. And even more than that, according to Chernyshova, fast food restaurants adversely affect the Russian consumer.

«The food sold at McDonald’s, according to some studies, negatively affect the body and health, – said Chernyshov. – And in the advertisement before the audience gets the positive image of the consumption of these products.»

Critics argue that McDonald’s has been long involved in a long war between USA and Russia because of the sanctions. For example, since 2014, Russia has closed many restaurants of this fast food, citing «sanitary violations».

In the Russian McDonald’s employs more than 35 thousand people, and as of 2014 there are at least 430 restaurants across the country. It remains unclear what are the consequences of a reclassification of us network to a foreign agent.
