Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged the United States to abandon the supply of arms to the Kurds, defence Minister Fikri Isik interpreted this move as a sign of the crisis between Turkey and the United States.
So the negative reaction of Ankara took place for the reason that the Kurdish fighters in Turkey consider a terrorist group. «It is not necessary to combat terrorism, without the help of other terrorists,» — said Erdogan, having learned about the decision by trump to arm the fighters. However, the US President has not abandoned his intention, adding that he considers the Syrian Kurds «the only force in place that is able to capture Raqqa in the near future.»
