In Kiev and other cities of Ukraine January 1, passed torchlight marches to mark the day of birth of the ideologue of the Ukrainian nationalist movement is Stepan Bandera.

In addition to torches, the March participants were holding portraits of Bandera, the flags of Ukraine and various nationalistic organizations. Marching crowd chanted «Glory to Ukraine – glory to Heroes!» and «Glory to nation – death to enemies!» The end point of the procession was the square of Independence, where they held a Veche.

In addition to Kiev, marches were held in Kharkiv, Kherson, Lviv, Dnipro, Sumy, Melitopol, Rivne, Kryvyi Rih, Ternopil. According to MIA, in stock in honor of Bandera will take part about 9 thousand people.
