In the US state Department said that among the 22 people killed by the Taliban during a 14-hour siege to Afghan hotel, there were a few Americans.
Today, January 23, a spokesman of the us state Department reported that several American citizens were killed and wounded in the attack, for which Taliban have claimed responsibility. The American representative was unable to give the number and names of the dead citizens.
The representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Afghanistan said that eight of the victims were Afghans, and 14 foreigners. More than 150 people were rescued or managed to escape.
The Taliban spokesman Zabiulla Mujahid said that five militants belonging to the group responsible for the attack.
