In Canada crashed the bus with hockey players, 14 people were killed

14 members of the canadian hockey team , the Humboldt Broncos were killed during a large-scale accident. The tragedy occurred on Friday evening, around 17:00 local time (23:00 GMT) when the bus with the athletes collided with a truck on highway 35 near Tisdale, Saskatchewan.

All on Board were 28 people. Exactly half of them including the driver were killed. The rest were hospitalized: three in critical condition.

According to the list of team members, victims aged 16 to 20 years. Only Humboldt Broncos 36 people, including defenders and goalkeepers, therefore, not all of them were in the bus.

Hockey players were supposed to meet with opponents of the Nipawin Hawks in the semifinal game. According to the site teams, the event was held at 19:30 — the accident occurred half an hour before.

The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has responded to the tragedy.
