Deadly flooding near the Dead sea: 9 teenagers were killed, 1 was missing

Today, April 26, Israeli river Nahal Tsafit in the South of the Dead sea came from their shores due to a powerful rainstorm. Killing nine teenagers and about the fate of one person is unknown.

According to the Israel police in the area about 25 people went on a hike. According to the Times, 13 members of the group were found by rescue teams without any injuries, two received minor injuries.

According to Israeli rescue services, nine people were killed that were in the river spill. All the victims were 18 years old. One teenager is missing, and continue to look for rescue service.

AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said that in the upper atmosphere for several days continued storm, which is accompanied by showers and thunderstorms. This storm is not uncommon this time of year.

Heavy rain earlier in the week led to flooding in other areas of Israel, including in Jerusalem. Yesterday due to flooding have also killed two teenagers.
