USA: Russia is «bullying» the OSCE mission shooting in the Donbas

The U.S. state Department has demanded from Russia to stop «bombardment» of the representatives of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in the Donetsk region with the purpose of intimidation.

According to the report of the Special monitoring mission to Ukraine (SMM), June 14, 6 employees of the OSCE stopped on the road in Pikuach (village 23 km North-East of Mariupol, outside of Kiev), to explore fresh footprints, probably left by the fighting machine of infantry.

After one of the members of the mission got out of the car, shots rang out. Close to transport, the OSCE stood 2 men in uniform. One of them was holding a Kalashnikov rifle of the sample of 1974. He several times shot up in the direction of the mission. Then both men left.

According to the OSCE, this was done in order to force SMM to leave the area. As considers a press-the Secretary of the U.S. Department of state Heather Nauert.

I’m seeing reports of Russia-subordinated personnel fired a weapon to intimidate unarmed @OSCE_SMM monitors in eastern #Ukraine. @OSCE_SMM risk their lives to protect civilians. #Russia should stop this deplorable behavior before more SMM personnel are killed & get out of Ukraine. https://t.co/mwLiHvPPXt

Unknown on the road to Pikuach was Pro military and shot to intimidate the members of the mission, convinced Neuert. On his page on Twitter she noted that representatives of SMM risk their lives in Eastern Ukraine to protect civilians. Press Secretary of the state Department has accused Russia of provocation and demanded an end to this «unfortunate behavior».

The U.S. state Department expressed its concern that Russia could deprive thousands of Ukrainians of drinking water.
