Russia has all the opportunities to start their own Internet, but there are no plans to bring this idea to life, said the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
According to the Director of the Department of new challenges and threats Ilya Rogachev, the creation of an alternative global network of Russia is not a priority, but this may force «the policy of Western partners.»
Other countries have engendered a double standard in cyberspace, although they have censorship, they have even tougher Russian, said Rogachev.
«They use their own mechanisms, but this does not mean that we should not «cover up» the Internet in the event of incitement to commit terrorist acts or even in the framework of countering violent extremism,» – said the employee of the foreign Ministry.
According to the newspaper «Kommersant», the fall of Russia will perform at the United Nations with the initiative to create cybercoders for the entire world community and improve the system of combating crime on the Internet.
Despite this decision, information about the hacker attacks from the territory of Russia does not cease to appear in the media. In late may, the American company Cisco Systems (CSCO.O) warned that at least 500 thousand devices in dozens of countries were infected, possibly to prepare for repeated mass cyber attack on Ukraine. The FBI confirmed this information, noting, however, that the situation was brought under control.
