In Ukraine plan to introduce compulsory chemical castration of pedophiles to curb the growing number cases of rapes and sexual attacks on children.
The corresponding bill was adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament. Forced castration, the creation of a registry of convicted pedophiles and increasing the penalty to 15 years has been supported by 247 MPs (one abstained and 65 did not vote).
As reported by «UKRINFORM», chemical castration involves the forced introduction of antiandrogenic drugs composed of chemicals, which aim to reduce libido and sexual activity.
This week the national police chief of Ukraine Vyacheslav Abroskin said: «Five children were raped in four regions of Ukraine… in just 24 hours. And those crimes, which the parents reported to the police, despite their fear and anxiety. We can only guess how many hidden sexual crimes against children in our country».
