Russian boxer 28-year-old Maxim Dadashev, who was carried off on a stretcher from the audience during a fight in the United States, died after surgery on the brain.
The athlete was hospitalized on Friday, July 19, after his trainer buddy McGirt stopped the fight with American sabriel by Mathias.
Neurosurgeon Mary Cobb said Dadashov had bleeding in the brain on the right side, so he needed emergency surgery. After that he was put into an artificial coma.
«Now he [is] in critical condition, but the doctor told me that it is stable, — said one of the coaches Dadasheva, Donatas of Janusevicius after the surgery. — We know that the bleeding has stopped. In addition, the swelling stopped. So, there is some positive news and we hope and pray for the best.»
