19-year-old boy named Alexander In killed 91-year-old priest Roger Matassoni, who subjected him to sexual abuse in childhood. The young man plunged a crucifix into the throat of a pedophile and strangled him.
The priest allegedly raped by four boys between 1960 and 2000. Among the injured children were Alexander’s father, Stefan, and the teenager who worked the priest.
Police found the body of Matassoni in his house in the lamb, in the North of France. Alexander was caught trying to escape by car Matassoni. He was accused of torture, murder and resisting arrest on December 26.
The priest had to be removed from the diocese of Clermont in 1967 and the diocese of Saint-andré-Frevillers in 1984, before he was sent to live in the lamb because of allegations of pedophilia. And yet he received a Church rate until 2018.
Alexander claimed that, while the bishops knew about the abuse of the priest with children, it does not punish. Alexander’s father was one of the victims of the priest. In the end, knowing the truth, father Stefan committed suicide. Alexander also tried to commit suicide because he could not cope with inflicted trauma.
Stefan claimed that the priest «destroyed the whole family».
Police are investigating based on the assumption that it was an act of revenge. Alexander told investigators he does not remember the event.
