Unknown people left on the streets of the village bundles of cash to help the residents

Two «good Samaritan» from the UK have been secret benefactors that have left tens of thousands of pounds on the streets of a tiny village in the hope that the money will pick up people in need.

The village of Blackhall Colliery in County Durham stumped police when from 2014 here on the streets began to receive bundles of cash – totaling not less than 26 000 pounds.

Every inhabitant of the village, usually quiet and sleepy – had a theory about who keeps all the money. Maybe someone won the lottery and decided to help the community? Maybe it’s the dealer trying to get rid of «dirty money»?

This week, the mystery was revealed. Detectives said two men stated that they had left a bundle for £ 20 in the village over the last six years.

According to Durham police, the identity of the pair will remain in the strictest confidence, because these people do not want public praise.

Police praised the honesty of the 13 people who found wads of cash and handed them over to the police. The money in the end, they still gave.

Detectives in County Durham, confirmed that the money was deliberately left in places where they could find needy, including pensioners and people who have experienced difficult times.
