A resident of the UK, accused of the murder of his mother, took the head of the decapitated woman in a friend’s house, who lives next door, and kissed her.
As reported by BBC, 8 April 2019 the body of 73-year-old Odessa Cary was discovered in the woman’s house in Ashington (Northumberland). In the sink in the kitchen was a large pair of scissors, knives and a hammer.
36-year-old daughter Carey, which is also named Odessa, found later that day in the attic — along with the head of her mother, wrapped in a pillow case and a towel. This was announced on Thursday, 5 March, prosecutors at the trial in the Royal court Newcastle.
The day before she was found and arrested, Odessa Cary took the bloody head of his mother in the bag when I was visiting a friend and neighbor of the family in the garden.
«She pulled it out of my bag and kissed, and then disappeared,» said Prosecutor Nicholas Lumley in court.
Investigators say that Cary killed his mother five days before the body was found. 36-year-old woman was found incompetent to stand trial, but the court will determine whether she committed a brutal murder.
«The defendant is insane, because of her condition she is unable to stand trial for a criminal offense, said judge Paul Sloan jury. — Your task is only to decide, did this woman murder».
The autopsy showed that Odessa Cary was beaten to death. A doctor who testified Thursday, said that the woman died from severe head injuries.
As reported by the court doctor, the beheading happened after the death of Cary.
