Navalny nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

Scientist and professor at the University of Rategras (New Jersey) Sergei Erofeev said that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

According to Erofeev, the politician was nominated by professors from “recognized universities” dealing with Russia. The scientist did not specify the names of his colleagues, but said that there are «big people» among them.

«This idea is not entirely new, but it has become more relevant and should find a wide response, especially since now Navalny is supported not even by 2% of Russians , but much more,» he added on his Facebook page.

At the moment, Navalny, who was poisoned with a Novichok-class substance this August, is still being treated at the German Charite hospital. The oppositionist regained consciousness after two weeks in a coma and has already announced his intention to return to the Russian Federation at the end of treatment.
