Police arrested a Kentucky man who had been traveling on a bus for 5 hours with suitcases containing the remains of his girlfriend.
Melvin Martin Jr. boarded a Greyhound bus in Louisville, Kentucky, and traveled to Chicago, Illinois to visit his parents, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The family who met him upon arrival did not even suspect about the terrible load in the bags.

When Martin still hadn't unpacked his bags a few days later, suspicions began to arise in his parents. In addition, local residents began to complain of an unpleasant smell coming from the man's luggage.
On Monday, when Martin Jr. went to the library, his family decided to check what was in the suitcases — and found parts of a human body.
The remains most likely belong to the man's 31-year-old girl, police said. The couple lived together in Kentucky, where other body parts have already been found.
At the moment Martin is in custody. He is expected to be charged with murder.
