Elon Musk says he will not be vaccinated against coronavirus when it appears

Elon Musk said that he will not be vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available.

The 49-year-old businessman, who refused to close his Tesla factories during quarantine, was interviewed for a New York Times podcast called Sway. In it, Musk said that he would not vaccinate even when the vaccine was available.

When the businessman was asked if he or his family would be vaccinated, Tesla CEO replied: “No, I am not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. And so are my children. »

Back in May, Musk broke California quarantine rules when he opened Tesla's factory ahead of time. Speaking at Sway, the businessman recalled how the plant had to close for several weeks — and said it was «ridiculous.» Musk then filed a lawsuit against the state and promised to move Tesla's headquarters from the Golden State to Texas.

The entrepreneur also reiterated that he considers mass isolation and widespread quarantine inappropriate. Instead, Musk believes, those who are most at risk of infection should be quarantined.

The SpaceX chief added that the response to the pandemic has shaken his faith in humanity.

“It diminished my faith in humanity. — he said — All this, the irrationality of people in general. »
