Sean Connery — Oscar-winning Scottish actor and the most famous James Bond in the history of cinema — died surrounded by family in Nassau (Bahamas). He was 90 years old.
According to his son, Jason Connery, a movie legend who «felt bad for a while», he died peacefully in his sleep.
“We are still trying to make sense of what happened. — said Jason — This is a sad day for everyone who knew my father, and a huge loss for everyone in this world who was lucky enough to enjoy his films. «

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon also commented on Connery's death, noting that the whole country «mourns for one of her greatest sons.»

Over the course of his 50-year career, Connery has appeared in more than 70 films, becoming an Academy Award winner (for his role in The Untouchables), a two-time BAFTA winner and three-time Golden Globe laureates.
