  • Fifteen of the victims suffered serious injuries, twenty-three people suffering from wounds of average weight, even forty-two men received minor injuries.
  • Police arrested two suspects who could help him. One of them was born in Morocco, the second in the Spanish city of Melilla, located in North Africa near the Moroccan port of Beni Ensar.
  • The arrests were conducted in Barcelona and within 100 km from it to the North: in the city of Ripoll and Alcanar. The night before the attack: happened explosion, because of which one person died and another was wounded.
  • Two police officers who were on duty at one of the checkpoints of Barcelona, was hit by a car – a white Ford Focus. The man who was inside the car, was shot and killed by law enforcement officers. The man did not survive. Whether he was related to the terrorist attack is unknown.
  • 113 km from Barcelona, in the town of Cambrils is police action in connection with “possible terrorist act”. In the shootout, law enforcement officers killed three people.
  • The Prime Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy declared three days of mourning for the victims of the tragedy.
  • The heads and representatives of foreign States, including Theresa may (UK), Emmanuel Makron (France), Vladimir Putin (Russia), Pope Francis (Vatican), and Jean-Claude Juncker (European Union), Donald trump and Melania trump expressed his condolences to the victims of the attack.
