Last night, July 26, the tragic incident occurred at the fair in Columbus, Ohio.
On one of the rides – Fireball – in the air came off the bench and crashed to the ground.
As a result of incident one person was killed, another seven injured. Three wounded in critical condition.
As reported by the NY Post, is the investigation of the incident. Fair today, Thursday, will be open, but no attraction will not work.
«I ordered the closure of all the rides until one check and ensure their safety», — said the Governor of Ohio John Kasich.
According to officials, all the rides at the fair were tested before opening, including Fireball. Moreover, it was checked several times – when installed and before you run to the people.
«Our prayers are with the wounded and family of the deceased. This is a very sad night for all of us,» said John Kasich.
He added that the results of the investigation can help other States to avoid similar tragedies.
Fair in Ohio is one of the largest in the United States. It will last until 6 August.
