Target hires 100,000 workers

Wednesday, September 13, Target has announced that this year for the holiday season will invite 100 000 temporary workers. This is almost 40% more compared to 70 000, writes CNBC.

Jobs will open in stores and logistics centers. Mostly temporary employees will work in the sales, arranging goods on the shelves and helping customers. They will pack and ship products and fulfill online orders.

Target will hold sets of employees from 13 to 15 October in each of the 1800 stores. The company said that the applicants can be interviewed and even get a job on the spot. The questionnaire can also be sent online.

General Manager of the Target store, Jeanne Potts promised that seasonal employees will receive a number of bonuses and benefits. For example, a 10% discount at the online store and 20% discount on fruits, vegetables and other healthy products and sporting goods.

Employees who are already working in the Target during the season can also take more hours.
