Laundry on Staten Island crashed into a SUV: injured 6 people

Sunday morning, September 3, in the Laundry room on Staten Island crashed into a white SUV.

The footage from the surveillance camera shows how people put the clothes in the washing machine and wait for finish washing. Suddenly, breaking the glass door of the building flies a white car. The incident occurred at around 8 am.

Representatives of the rescue services of new York said that in the accident suffered 6 people who were taken to Staten Island University Hospital.

Three victims suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The other three escaped with minor injuries. Witnesses say that among the victims was a pregnant woman.

Authorities said that the driver of the car was a 74-year-old man. As told NBC4 NY witness, the man explained that he wanted to Park at the building Laundry room on Page Avenue in the Tottenville area, but accidentally hit the wrong pedal instead of the brake and pressed the gas, then crashed into the door behind.

Police do not suspect criminal intent.
