At the nursing home left without electricity because of Irma, killed 5 people

Five wards from nursing homes in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, died Wednesday morning, September 13. According to local authorities, people could get sick from insufficient ventilation of the building. Due to hurricane Irma, like millions of other houses, center for care for the elderly for several days remained without electricity, as a result of the air conditioning system could not function in a normal mode, said local officials the Miami Herald. The air temperature during these days ranged from 79 to 99 degrees.

For emergencies, the local authorities decided to take away from The Rehabilitation Center in the Hollywood Hills all the inhabitants. The police together with the rescue service helped to evacuate 115 peoplewho were taken to nearby hospitals.

The chief of police of the city Thomas Sanchez announced that the death of patients will be initiated a criminal case.

In addition to this case, Florida recorded 11 deaths, most of them in accidents during training the diapers or become its consequences.
